Hey everyone...my first post!
I run a JWT clutch with Metal one side organic the other. Used the highest pressure plate they had and it has worked great. I have been running it for a little over a year with a full season of Auto-x, Solo One and track days. It sometimes shudders on street take off but overall it has killer engagement and performance as well as daily drivability...it was also around $450 so it was not too expensive.
Looking forward to talking to everyone more and hearing about other awesome GTI-R's!
Cheers

Hey Gang,
I would highly recommend BULLY clutch (in Ottawa). They make everything from street/oem replacement to full blown race/drag cars !
We are 2 GTI-R in the Ottawa region who will be changing for Bully soon (will provide them the stock unit and they will make a perfect match with your choice of disc/puck and compound).
The one we tried with our previous project car (200sx with GTI-R FWD swap) was this one:

Retails for 600$, but can get a lower price, if some of you are interested.
I can talk to the owner and find out a good price for the Canada GTI-R forum members !

you can use the act clutches for sr20det s13/14's. they're around 4-600$ dependant on which one you choose.

the guys on gtiroc recommend the hd 6 puck for 359$
has anybody replaced their own clutch? I'm in the process right now but I'm stuck because I think there are some bolts hidden under the intake mani, and the task of removing that scares me

i have a twin plate nismo in mine but as i'm going to do an egine rebuild this winter i was wondering if anyone knows were i can get replacement friction plates for it...its a great clutch, though i wouldnt like to have to buy one new.
I just did my clutch recently had to tak the motor out and the tranny splits into two seperate pieces it was quite an ordeal
use silicone when you reatach the seperate tranny,s dont want any leaks
you can use a clutch from a g20 for the gtir- guy from JRP in mississauga used to have a honda delsol with the gtir engine and drivetrain in it, all custm work...apparently the thing pulled like a champ and he used a g20 clutch... ican ask him what one he used

a fwd sr20det clutch is not ideal, its smaller splined, so i'm not sure if it'll work. the rwd sr20det clutch is the one to have, with a gti-r clutch release bearing. or obviously a gti-r specific clutch.
front wheel is fine, the guy fromn JRP raced his on the track and circuit, the one from a rwd sr20 will fit no problem however doesnt complete fit... 2mm off, id tend to trust the guy as he is the sr20 expert in mississauga..if he can get a drivetrain and engine into a hondal delsol i think he knows what he talking about sorry to cut up the above lol

wrong info my friend. he's using a fwd tranny, so he has to use the smaller clutch. the bell housing won't fit the larger clutch neways. awd tranny requires 24 spline 225mm clutch. fwd tranny requires 18 spline 215mm clutch.
i'm running a competition clutch with a competition flywheel- all s13 applications- you can get the throw out bearing gtir specific from courtesy nissan, i paid around 40us for the bearing
hmmmmm told me awd... anywyas how much did you pay for the competition clutch?
BOTTLES ARE FOR BABIES.. REAL MEN GET BLOWN
it costs around $380, but if you check zilvia .net there are tons of s13 parts for sale, i paid 350 for my clutch- brand new- and my flywheel with a 1k miles
don't forget unless the flywheel is predrilled or has larger bolt holes for the gti-r flywheel bolts, you'll have to get the flywheel bolt holes slightly enlargened
I recommend ACT for anyone who is really serious about their gtir. They make a clutch that is rated at 650ft/lbs...In other words you have 2 options when driving: Stall or squeal the tires
you forgot option 3, busted case ha
So i'm resurrecting an old post. I`m planning on replacing my clutch within the next couple weeks. I`ve seen`that some people say it can`t be done without pulling the engine. Does anyone know if that for sure the case. Has anyone been able to do it without pulling itÉ If not, how long did it take to replace it with pulling the engineÉ I want to be able to do it in one weekend. And can anyone tell me how the heck to make a question mark. ÉÉÉÉ

I noticed on your other thread, you wrote the description of the PAR Engineering's dog box and synchromesh gearings; From what i've read they are more affordable than the PPG. Out of curiousity how come you never listing anything about it before locking?
