The 2011 Ontario Time Attack Season is just around the corner! We have 9 events scheduled this year at; Mosport DDT, Shannonville Motorsports Park (all configurations), and Mosport International Raceway.

We are also running two track schools this year where you can learn fundamental and advanced driving skills. The first school will be held at Mosport DDT, the other at Mosport International Raceway. These schools aren’t just for “newbies”, even if you’ve done some lapping before, the schools will make you faster!

Ontario Time Attack (previously “Solosprint” or “Solo1”) is re-launching this year with an all new event format that includes more lapping time, hired marshals and new sponsors. It remains one of the most affordable forms of motorsport and competes on some of Ontario’s best race tracks.

We offer a car classification system that strives to enable a wide range of vehicles, from stock to highly modified, to compete as evenly as possible. Thanks to our sponsors, we expect to give away prizes with a cumulative value of over $10,000!

[b]Special Note[/b], Ontario Time Attack is a not-for-profit organization.

On uber (2 groove) R compounds my NX is SGT2; on treaded R compounds it's SGT3; on streets it's GT1. I'm running the best streets I can get, Toyo R1Rs which in my driving are the closest thing to an RA1 that I've found, so I'm quite confident running them. The great thing about our classification system is that it makes it fair to everyone; the worst thing about our classification system is that it makes it fair to everyone. Part of the fun is knowing the rule book and ensuring the proper classification. I'm the SPDA time attack ambassador, so part of my role is helping others get into time attack and assisting with classification where possible.

Time to start planning for the next events. Hope to have a few more Nissans out on the track - some GTi-Rs would be bonus!

I'd like to see some GTi-R's out at the Nationals.
