miasma's Pulsar gtir

Well I figured instead of making a new page of the site, I might as well just post my car in the forum - since it isn't getting used for much else right now *grin

It is now officially 'on the boat' - expected to arrive on Nov 21.

Here are some pictures (the only ones I have):

Well heres a late reply - That very pulsar is now sitting in my garage!
The expected arrival date was Nov 21. On the 23rd of November, I woke up at the crack of dawn, and raced to the ferry terminal. After several hours at the terminal and on the ferry, I arrived at Tsawwassen(sp?) and made my way to the shipping company. Unfortunately the car was not there - in fact the customs broker had forgotten to send the release information and then went on vacation - great timing. So another several hours of travel and I was at home again - with no Pulsar.
Nov 30th - Woke up at the crack of dawn, and raced to the ferry terminal. After several hours at the terminal and on the ferry, I arrived at Tsawwassen(sp?) and made my way to the shipping company. The car was actually there this time!

I had a great drive home, though fairly uneventful I was glad to have my car. It was kind of weird driving right hand drive at first - I found myself wandering lanes a few times - but even more weird than driving on the wrong side, was shifting. I felt like I was 16 learning to drive standard again, but I picked it up in no time.

Anyways, on to the pictures!

crappy pictures, but the car is *mint

I've swapped out the rims for now - the tires that came on it wont pass provincial inspection because they are not DOT approved - stupid if you ask me. Also if you look closely in this picture you can see there is something wrong with the headlights... thats because they came out of an 89' honda civic - I'm still in the process of making proper mounts for them but these are what will get the car through inspection.

I see your Pulsar has the Nismo skid plate. If you ever see one available anywhere let me know. I want one.

I might be selling mine shortly - I have my eye on a "Laguna splitter" which would require the removal of the skid plate. I'll let you know if I'm selling it.

I have the front for sale. They go for about £50-80 on the UK forum plus shipping. Send me a PM with your offer for it and I'll see what I can do. I can also include the clamps.

I've already recieved and installed one from the uk. Shipping was rediculous, but I needed it. Thanks anyways.

Couple new pictures of the car - It's finally on the road so there will be many more to come - I just ordered a 3 gauge a-pillar pod and 3 prosport gauges (oil pressure, temp, and boost), and I've got a apexi electronic boost controller sitting on my desk right now. Once I get the gauges in I'm upping the boost! Also in the market for a FMIC.

yea i found that if you leave the stock tmic and up the boost you do get a bit of a performance change but nothing compared to upping the boost with a fmic...its just that you have to wait for the engine to be up to temp before you mat it and once that happens the tmic is nice and hot too so ur not getting a nice cold charge into the engine...if you plan on putting the boost up and leaving it there, plan on gettig a fmic sooner than later to prevent det.

Ur not JDM till ur RHD

I was just talking to a guy I know at one of the local tuner shops and he was saying that an air to water intercooler might be an easier and more effective way to go, so I might look into that - Haven't seen any similar setups on a pulsar yet.

An air to water is good for drag and short distance. an air to air is better for street driving. Unless ur gonn ahav dedicated water system for the air to water with it's own rad and what not i wouldnt bother. if u want more info i can email u a pretty cool book. i have it in a pdf and u will get a much better idea on what i am talkin about. it has a lot a good info on turbo and intercooling.

Sure send over the book - [email protected] If I did the air to water system It would be a dedicated system with its own rad and pump, I was thinking I would put the rad where my top mount currently sits. Also the task of running intercooler pipes for a front mount scares me =)
